Trees and Elves

Trees are ancient and wise

Conduits thru which life’s energy flow.

Their roots reach a long way down

To where Gaea’s energy glows.

Elves are short and trim

With little pointy ears.

They live among the trees

And shed the forest’s tears.

Most druids protect the trees

For the power that they lend.

I prefer to protect the elves

Because they are softer on the skin.
