Two Souls

It started with two souls,

Searching for love,

But finding only pain in its stead.

Then, they came across a name,

An alias for a game,

That for some reason just seemed important.

Then came a word of “Hello,”

Then a conversation,

And across the miles, friendship grew.

Next came the chance to meet,

Face to face,

And their smiles eased the pain of searching.

And then, when it was time to part,

A simple hug,

That just seemed right, and a want to not let go.

Next, came three new, powerful words:

“I love you,”

Spoke in anxiety, followed by relief on their return.

And then, another stronger embrace,

Given with love,

For the beginning of a life together.

And now, a special day for them both,

A wedding,

Cementing their love, and binding their souls forever.

It began with two, longing souls,

Reaching across the miles,

Ending with what they were searching for: Love.
